3rd uninterrupted day in the studio (wow!) and feel I am making progress with my work on Dancers. Forcing myself to finish a number of drawings before starting new. But it's knowing when to stop........I want to keep the life and energy but want it to appear 'done'. I rather like this one
Mega-busy time for me but not complaining! Lots of interesting, creative stuff going on: Thurs - working with the Fabulous Elliot Smith Company at The Barre; Saturday - Life Drawing workshop at Beda Studio; Sunday - Stencilling workshop/demo for Kiss the Bride magazine; Monday - Drink & Draw Tatoodle! at Ernest. In the studio all day today - yay!
This is the name for my forthcoming exhibition of work on Dancers. I'm collaborating with the Eliot Smith Company and feel very privileged to be a fly-on-the wall drawing while Eliot works with his dancers. I felt quite emotional - when you recognise the same passion in another art form it's a wonderful thing! And this is what I want to get across in the work: the strength, passion and utter commitment of these amazing dancers, and the stories, ideas and feelings they express
